Welcome Back
Eric Rigsby

We are so excited to see our students on Thursday! Just a few reminders to help our day run smoothly:

1. Be sure to see the car and bus line routes listed below.

2. Remember, no walk ins tomorrow. All students should be dropped off in the normal car line.

3. For the afternoon car line, be sure to have the name plate you received at orientation.

4. For the afternoon car line, please be patient! Remember that our afternoon bell does not ring until 3:05. We will not begin sending students out of the building until after 3:10. Please do not get in the car lines early as it will block traffic to our surrounding neighbors.

5. Please help us by making sure your student knows if they will be a car rider or a bus rider each day!

6. Remind your student of their teachers name. That helps get your student to the proper location in the morning.

7. Student backpacks should be clear or mesh. Water bottles should be clear.

We are looking forward to a great start for the 2026 - 2027 school year!

Car Line Instructions

Drop-off/Pick-up Times for Memorial Park Elementary School:

Early Morning Drop-off - We have an early morning drop-off that begins at 7:00am and ends at 7:25am each morning. This occurs at location C in the attached picture. No cars will be allowed to drop-off at this location after 7:25am due to buses also unloading here beginning at 7:30am.

Morning Carlines - Both 2nd and 3rd grade drop-off (locations A and B in the attached picture) will begin at 7:40am each morning. These carline locations will be available for student drop-off from 7:40 - 8:10 each morning. After 8:10, parents will need to park and walk their students into the front office of the school. Do NOT drop a student off without an MPS carline worker being present.

Afternoon Carlines - Afternoon carlines will begin at approximately 3:10pm each day. The bell to dismiss students for the end of the day does not ring until 3:05pm each afternoon. Both 2nd and 3rd grade afternoon carlines (locations A and B in the attached picture) will occur at the same location of morning carline. Please make sure to have your students name card in the front windshield of your vehicle as you approach the carline worker.

Drop-off/Pick-up procedures for Memorial Park Elementary School students:

Location A - Pick-up and drop-off of 2nd grade students only. Traffic will enter the Natatorium parking lot in front of the Natatorium from 6th Street. Parents will then drop-off/pick-up by the awning attached to the school. After drop-off/pick-up, parents will exit the parking lot by the Natatorium's marquee sign onto 10th Avenue.

Location B - Pick-up and drop-off of 3rd grade students only. If a parent has both a 2nd and 3rd grade student, both students will be picked up/dropped off at this location together. Traffic will enter in front of the old North Highlands School from 10th Street and proceed to the gymnasium side of our building. Students will enter and exit the building through the gymnasium doors. Traffic will then exit onto 10th Avenue by turning right out of our parking lot.

Location C - Pick-up and drop-off of bus riders only. This will also be the drop-off location for any students that attend the early morning drop-off. After 7:25 am, no cars are allowed to drop-off at this location. This will be a bus drop-off only after 7:25 am. This is the front entrance of our school.

Back To School Orientation
Eric Rigsby

We cannot wait to see our students and parents for orientation! MPS orientation will take place on Tuesday, August 4. 2nd grade orientation will start at 12:00 in the teachers classrooms. 3rd grade orientation will start at 1:30 in the teachers classroom. Please be on time so you can hear all the information that teachers will be presenting for their classroom.

Also My School Bucks is now open! Parents have the option to take care of school fees here, or they can be paid at orientation on August 4. We would highly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity before orientation day.

Just to clarify what MPS students are responsible for:

1. Classroom Supplies - Parents can choose to pay the $40 here, and teachers will purchase all supplies, or you can use the grade level supply list and purchase supplies on your own. If purchasing on your own, please bring these supplies to orientation.

2. Student Identification Card - All MPS students will need an ID card.

3. Technology Annual Device Protection Plan

Optional Items (These items are NOT required, but can be purchased here if students would like).

1. School T-Shirt - School t-shirts will be sold until August 19. This will be the last day for t-shirt orders.

2. All Season Sports Pass - This is an optional item if students would like to attend high school sporting events.

All items listed above can be purchased at: https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ver2/getmain.action

Lunch Money Accounts
Eric Rigsby

All Jasper City students will continue to receive free breakfast and lunch each day for the 2026 - 2027 school year!

Attached is a flyer regarding the new LINQ Connect program for collecting ala carte payments in the lunchroom. When a child wishes to purchase an EXTRA meal, drinks, chips, ice cream, etc, they will need money in their account. All Jasper City Schools will no longer be using MySchoolBucks for Child Nutrition payments and parents will NOT be able to add money through that program for their student's meal accounts. This new program, LINQ, will be the platform for parents to add money to a students account. Students can also bring cash or check to add to their account.
