Welcome to the MPS Library. We serve students, teachers, and families of Memorial Park Elementary School. All students visit the library every week to have story time, check out books, and  use iPads to develop information literacy skills. We learn how to access on-line information safely. Our library program supports our students' independent reading and research as well as their classroom activities. Our fixed weekly class schedule allows for read-aloud, literature promotion, library skills instruction, research ,and an open check-out schedule for all grades. Students, parents, and teachers are welcome to come by the library at any time.

MPS students may check out  2 books at a time. The loan period for a book is one week. After that, the book is considered overdue. There are no overdue fines, but a student with an overdue book will not be allowed to check out new books until a form is signed asking parents to agree to pay for the book if it is not returned by the end of the school year. The fee for a lost or damaged book is $20 to cover the library-bound replacement.

 Wall of Fame

At MPS Readers are Leaders! We recognize all MPS students on our Reading Wall of Fame due to their reading activity over each current grading period. When students earn 25 AR points with an average of 75% or higher they are  recognized on this Wall of Fame. Students earning 100, 200, 300, 400, etc.  points this school year will also be recognized on our  Wall of Fame. We are very proud of the amount of reading that is going on at Park School.  So set your goals and read, read, read!!
