My name is Casey Williams, and I am proud to be the library media specialist at Memorial Park Elementary School. I am currently in my 23rd year of teaching. I received my undergraduate degree in education from the University of Alabama and my master's degree in School Library Media from the University of West Alabama. I feel the most important role of an elementary school librarian is to promote reading and literacy. Students are encouraged to read both for information and for pleasure.
